Discharge Silencers

SOMAX has a "mufflers" manufacturing line (SILENCERS FOR COMBUSTION EXHAUST GAS DISCHARGE), which meets several specifications of noise attenuation for discharge of combustion gases. The line also has the option of building "Spark Arrestor" addressed to areas at risk of explosion or fire, such as petro-chemical industry and fuel.

The mufflers are sized case by case, with the arrangement of its chambers and internal flow distributors determined to meet the loss and attenuation per octave band desired for each application.

MAIN APPLICATIONS

Discharge of stationary combustion engines in general, including diesel or gas engines, primarily for use in electricity generation.
