PLUG-FANCOIL

“AHU” – Air Treatment Units

PLUG-FANCOIL®

The air handling units PFC model (PLUG-Fancoil ®) have been developed to meet the operational needs of quality and efficiency in industrial applications. The basic differential from PLUG-FANCOIL® is in the use of "Plug-Fan", "Swing-Out" and "Limit-Load".

Versatility and Space Savings: The intake and air discharge plenuns permit simultaneous use of several positions of inlet and outlet air ducts, simplifying the distribution network of ducts and reducing the need for space. Beyond that, also has the advantage of being more compact than conventional fancoils where the ventilation case is greater than the space occupied by the plug-Fan.

Custom-made modular construction: There are several options of modules available (mixing plenuns, cooling / heating, filtration, humidification / dehumidification, etc..) that meet all the needs of projects and applications. Efficiency and Energy Savings: Heat generated by the motor, pulleys, belts and bearings (which can reach up to 30% of the rated motor power) is dissipated out of the flow of treated air, representing a significant energy savings.

The thermal insulation of the walls of PLUG-Fancoil ® is a composite material with a very low heat transfer coefficient, avoiding losses and external condensation. Its interior is lined with sheet metal and all points of contact with the structure have insulating spacers that reduce the "thermal bridges". Minimization of wear and exemption of treated air contamination: The drive components of "Plug-Fan" can be accessed directly without opening or equipment downtime, allowing visualization, lubrication and wear control. Furthermore, the debris resulting from wear of pulleys, belts and lubricating purge of the bearings are outside the treated air flow not overloading the air filters and prolonging their replacement cycle.

Security and Robustness: The "limit-load", "Airfoil", fans present high efficiency, low noise and has a guaranteed performance on tests performed in accordance with AMCA and ASHRAE standards. These fans allow variation of flow and pressure without risk of overloading the power of the electric motors.

The PLUG-Fancoil ® is constructed from structured modules, sealed against air leakage or penetration of fluids or particles. The assembly is mounted on a structural base that can be supported by vibration dampers forming a set with high inertia and quiet operation, without transmitting noise or vibration to structures, air ducts or hydraulic tubing.

Ease of maintenance: In all fancoils, transmission elements, motors and bearings are the critical components of mechanical and electrical wear, having to be regularly checked, lubricated or subjected to heat and vibration analysis. In the construction of the PLUG-FANCOIL® these components are external, with free access for maintenance and checks without prolonged stops of the air handling system. The "Swing-Out" fan type is fixed by hinges allowing its full opening and easy and effortless access to the rotor and the inside of the plenum fan.

This ease of preventive maintenance and nonstop operation makes the use of PLUG-Fancoil ® most suited to industrial applications that requires reliability and more accurate maintenance planning.
