Operating Fluid: Air or gases without excessive abrasive particles.
Temperature: Up to 60°C – Standard Construction. Above, up to 400 °C – Requires special accessories.
CONSTRUCTION (ROBUST INDUSTRIAL)
● Structure - Sides with square shape, structured with folds forming panels of carbon steel, providing security and robustness.
● Scroll - Heavy gauge carbon steel plates, welded on the sides, with aerodynamic spiral shape, sealed with polymeric thread.
● Inlet Cone - Carbon steel formed into hyperbolic flow profile.
● Rotor - Designed with a minimum safety factor of 1.2 at the maximum speed of the class, consisting of:
-Center - Precision machined carbon steel, attached to the shaft with screws and key.
-Backplate - Structured heavy gauge carbon steel disk attached to the center with nuts and bolts.
-Blades - Carbon steel with aerodynamic profile (airfoil), structured with ribs according to the constructive class and size, welded to the backplate and the cone of the rotor.
-Rotor Cone- Carbon steel formed into hyperbolic flow profile.
.●Shaft (on the applicable arrangements) - Carbon steel SAE 1045 precision machined, minimum safety factor of 1.2 at the maximum speed of the constructive class.
● Bearings (on the applicable arrangements) - Calculated for a minimum life L10 of 40,000 hours.
● Transmission (on the applicable arrangements) - Pulleys and "V" belts, calculated for a minimum of 1.5 times the power of the drive.
● Welding - Electric in an inert atmosphere with qualified procedure and operators.
● Balancing - All rotating assembly is subjected to rigorous static and dynamic balancing, according to ISO 1940 and ANSI S2.19, grade G = 6.3.
SURFACE TREATMENT
According to the procedure of the standard paint of SOMAX the carbon steel parts are subjected to surface treatment through grade SA-2 abrasive blasting, further epoxy based paint with a minimum thickness of 25µ and epoxy finish paint with a minimum thickness of 25µ. Other materials of construction and other surface treatments can be provided upon request.
