Centrifugal Fan

AIRFOIL - PLUG-FAN

BASIC DESCRIPTION

Centrifugal fan, plug-FAN, with type A, airfoil, high efficiency rotor. Model tested and certified by Chicago Blower Corporation in accordance with the standards AMCA Standard 210 and AMCA Standard 300. Housing and inlet cone are optional.

APLICATIONS:

Ventilation, exhaust, industrial processes, paint systems, drying systems, greenhouses and air treatment systems in general.

OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS:

Operating Range: Flow rate up to 100,000 m³/h Static pressure up to 275 mmca.
Mechanical efficiency: Above 80% in the range of maximum yield.
Power consumption profile: "LIMIT-LOAD"
Operating Fluid: Air or gases without excessive abrasive particles.
Temperature: Up to 80°C – Standard Construction. Above, up to 400 °C – Requires special accessories.

CONSTRUCTION (ROBUST INDUSTRIAL)

    ● Panel - Heavy gauge carbon steel plate, structured with square shaped folds, welded to the base of the drive, providing security and robustness to equipment.

    ● Housing (optional) - Of heavy gauge carbon steel, welded, with aerodynamic "spiral" shape, attached to the panel.

    ● Inlet cone (optional) - carbon steel formed into hyperbolic flow profile, can be supplied with or without drilling holes, with brackets for mounting to the panel or bolted to the frame (optional).

    ● Rotor - Designed with minimum safety factor of 1.2 at the speed of the class consisting of:

-Center - Precision machined carbon steel, attached to the shaft with screws and key.

-Backplate - Structured heavy gauge carbon steel disk attached to the center with nuts and bolts.

-Blades - Carbon steel with airfoil profile, backwardly inclined, welded to the backplate and the rotor cone.

    .

-Rotor Cone- Carbon steel conformed to hyperbolic flow profile.

    ● Shaft (Arrangement 9) - Carbon steel SAE 1045 precision machined, minimum safety factor of 1.2 at the maximum speed of the constructive class.

    ● Bearings (Arrangement 9) - Calculated for a minimum life L10 of 40,000 hours.

    ● Transmission (Arrangement 9) - Pulleys and "V" belts, calculated for a minimum of 1.5 times the power of the drive.

    ● Welding - Electric in an inert atmosphere with qualified procedures and operators.

    ● Balancing - All rotating assembly is subjected to rigorous static and dynamic balancing, according to ISO 1940 and ANSI S2.19, grade G = 6.3.

    SURFACE TREATMENT

According to the procedure of the standard paint of SOMAX the carbon steel parts are subjected to surface treatment through grade SA-2 abrasive blasting, further epoxy based paint with a minimum thickness of 25µ and epoxy finish paint with a minimum thickness of 25µ. Other materials of construction and other surface treatments can be provided upon request.
