BASIC DESCRIPTION

Fan-jet, vane-axial, adjustable pitch and high performance, designed with the support of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Federal University of Itajubá, aiming to obtain the greatest thrust and greater reach of the air jet with lower power consumption and lower noise level.

APLICATIONS:

Road tunnels, subway and rail tunnels, galleries and mines or other underground constructions that requires longitudinal ventilation system.

OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS:

Operating Range: Thrust up to 3,000 N. Mechanical efficiency: Above 80% in the range of maximum yield.
Operated fluid: air, gases or vapors without excess abrasive particles.
Temperature: Up to 60°C – standard construction. Up to 120 °C – requires special fittings. Up to 250°C, special construction as prior specification.

CONSTRUCTION: (ROBUST INDUSTRIAL)

● Housing - High thickness carbon steel, welded with tubular shape.
● Directional Vane - Carbon steel plates, with hyperbolic flow profile, welded, arranged to avoid resonances at the frequency of passage of the blades.
● Flanges - High thickness carbon steel profile, with drilling, providing strength and structure to the housing.
● Motor support - Structured carbon steel disk, welded to the directional vanes, used to fix the flanged motor using screws.
● Rotor - With 6 or 12 blade with adjustable angle, composed of:
   - Center - High strength aluminum alloy, cast in special molds and machined with high precision.
   - Blades - With exclusive aerodynamic profile, cast of high strength aluminum alloy and machined with high precision.
   - Adapter sleeve - Made of 1045 carbon steel, accurately machined, conical adjustable clamping, providing a secure attachment to the shaft and easy maintenance, both in assembly and disassembly operations. Additionally it is used "key" and lock washer to give greater security to the equipment.
   - Aerodynamic protective cap - Made of aluminum plate stretched to adjust perfectly to the center of the rotor.
   - Blade Retainers - Aluminum, precision machined, bipartite and fixed by elastic ring, allowing easy and continuous adjustment of the angle of the blades.
● Welding - Electrical in an inert atmosphere with qualified procedure and operators.
● Balancing - All rotating assembly is subjected to rigorous static and dynamic balancing, according to ISO 1940 and ANSI S2.19, grade G = 6.3.

SURFACE TREATMENT

According to the procedure of the standard paint of SOMAX the carbon steel parts are subjected to surface treatment by abrasive blasting grade SA-2, further epoxy based paint with a minimum thickness of 25µ and epoxy finishing paint with a minimum thickness of 25µ . Other materials of construction and other surface treatments can be provided upon request.
