ACOUSTIC COATING - EUROLON®

Technical Especification

DESCRIPTION

Phono-absorbent material developed by Sound Attenuators Limited, widely used in Europe as acoustic coating for walls or ceilings, to reduce the sound reverberation time of environments.

COMPOSITION

Its composition is a semi-rigid glass wool plate, treated with special resin and covered with fiberglass woven with diameter and mesh specifically designed for attainment of optimum acoustic performance, resulting in an inert, non-hygroscopic, not subject to decomposition, inhospitable to insects, pests, fungi and bacteria.

TESTS AND CERTIFICATES

The Eurolon® has been extensively tested for fire resistance according to Standard BS476 (Fire Test on Building Materials and Structures) Parts 5, 6 and 7, and obtained the following ratings:

BS476 Part 5: "Test for Flammability of Materials' Class' P '.

BS476 Part 6: "Test for Fire Propagation materials" Index Performance (I) = 9.5P and Sub-index (i) = 5.4.

Consequently, Eurolon® is classified as "Class 0" according to "Building Regulations 1976 E15" and by the "Lloyds Register of Shipping Certificate" is classified as "material having Low Flame Spread Characteristics", comprising including its use in "Offshore Installations ".

AVAILABLE FINISHING TYPES

In addition to face coatings with standard white fabric Model (WLE) or black (Model WLEP) is also available with special transparent polyester coating, "MELINEX" Model (WLM), replacing the glass fiber cloth increasing resistance to organic or inorganic impurities, greases, oils, etc..

AVAILABLE EUROLON® TYPES

● WL* 32-25 = EUROLON 25 mm thickness, density 32 kg / m³.

● WL* 32-50 = EUROLON 50 mm thickness, density 32 kg / m³.

AVAILABLE MECHANICAL PROTECTION TYPES (OPTIONALS)

● Pre-galvanized perforated plate Holes de 1/8" EC 5mm.

● Expanded aluminum screen.

● Welded wire screen mesh 1 "(optionally painted).

● Stainless steel perforated plate with holes of 19 mm.

MOUNTING / INSTALLATION

The Eurolon® is fixed to the wall or ceiling through galvanized steel profiles specialy manufactured by SOMAX. The profiles may optionally be painted.

CLEANING

In 90% of cases, the only cleaning that Eurolon ® requires can be made with the aid of a vacuum cleaner, but in special cases it may be washed with detergent and water.
