BAFFLES

Acoustic Absorption System

The relationship between the noise reflecting surface and the noise absorber surface of an environment as well as the degree of sound absorption and reflection of these surfaces defines the reverberation time of the environment. Depending on the use of each room reverberation time must be controlled, making the environment more reflective or absorbing. In addition, environments with very high or very low reverberation tend to be uncomfortable and even can cause neurological, hearing or psychological damage in their frequent occupants. Restaurants, factories, conference rooms, auditoriums, big halls, and other various types of environments, must undergo reverberation time control for internal sound to avoid becoming too noisy or to prevent excess echo that impair communication and human comfort.

BAFFLES are versatile devices to increase the surface area of acoustic absorption within environments.

Its use is indicated when:

● The surfaces of walls, floors and ceilings can not be modified to become less reflective.

● The reverberation time has to be varied according to day use and the environment.

● The noise sources are mobile within the environment and absorbing surfaces have to change location constantly.

The BAFFLES can be decorative, covered with special fabrics and a wide availability of colors. Can be washable. Can be set rigid, be hung or set on rails to enable movement. Depending on the location and application, can be flame-resistant and non fire propagating.
