VIBRATION ISOLATORS

NP & NG – Elastomer mattress

Single and double neoprene mattresses with grooves.

Combination of grooved layers with steel separators.

Alternating high and low grooves to better deflection.

Load capacities of up to 8 kg/m2 (120 psi).

Static deflection of up to 5 mm (0.19 ").

Oil and corrosion resistant.

Description:

The model NP and NG mattress isolators are manufactured using high quality elastomer and are available in single grooves or double cross grooves, in one or more layers divided by steel separators. The mattresses have hardness level of 45 or 65 and are designed for 4 or 8 kg/m2 (60 or 120 PSI) of maximum load. The elastomer is resistant to oil and water and is designed to operate within the boundary condition of the insulador with a prolonged life expectancy. The NP models are available with deflection range of 1 to 2 mm (0.04 "to 0.09"). The NG models are available with deflections of 3 to 5 mm (0.13 "to 0.19"). Mattresses are available in squares of 4 ", 6" and 9 "(102, 152, 228 mm) with load capacities from 181 to 4400 kg (400 to 9700 lb), or in the maximum size of square plates of 457 mm (18 ") that can be cut and drilled to meet the desired conditions at the installation site.

Applications:

The NPS , NPD , NGS and NGD neoprene isolators can be used to isolate impact, noise and high frequency vibrations generated by mechanical equipment located on structurally supported level or on a pier or platform . Typical applications are limited to maximum loads of 4 kg/m2 ( 60 PSI ) for isolators with hardness 8 and 45 kg/m2 ( 120 PSI ) for isolators with hardness 65 and are typically used in equipments with operating speeds above 3600 rpm . Typically, the industrial machinery is dimensioned to transfer 60 PSI ( 4kg/m2 ) uniformly to the isolators or the supporting structure . The NPS , NPD , NGS and NGD models are designed to provide 60 PSI ( 4 kg/m2 ) of load capacity with maximum isolation efficiency for each density without exceeding the limit stress of the material . When subjected to impact loads the load capacity of the isolators is reduced by 50% , then being necessary to use the material of hardness 65 to 120 PSI (8 kg/m2).
