Description:

The AC pad, manufactured with Kinetics Noise Control technology, consists of molded fiber glass block, bonded to a steel base with bottom anchoring holes and a top load distributor plate of steel. Vertically is pierced by a screw that is intended to put together the pieces of the isolator and hold the supported equipment. The screw has a neoprene washer that prevents metal contact between the screw and the bottom steel base.

The fiber glass blocks are made of molded and pre-compressed high-density fiber glass, individually coated with a flexible and waterproof elastomeric membrane and designed to allow controlled air movement among the glass fibers. The pumping action of the air between the fibers results in viscous damping, reducing the movement caused by shock and vibration.

A wide range of pads with different densities and spring effects is available to meet load capacities from 18-400 kg (40-900 lb) and deflections form 4-18 mm (0.18 "to 0.70").

Applications:

The AC PAD isolators can be applied to a wide variety of uses for vibration and noise isolating and are recommended whenever it is important to obtain a predetermined dynamic response and constant load support.

They are also indicated for uses in which the supported equipment has to be screwed to the frame or to the floor.

Its use is recommended to isolate audible frequencies of vibration and noise from mechanical equipment with rotations exceeding 1750 rpm mounted in raised floor or pier.

Can be applied as vibration isolators and are used as supports and brackets for high speed fans, hydraulic pumps and chillers seated on the floor or elevated structures.

A special application is to isolate floating precast slabs.

Specifications:

The AC isolators are composed of molded and pre-compressed fiberglass pads individually coated with an elastomeric membrane. The glass fibers have a diameter of less than 6.8 micron and elastic modulus of 10.5 million PSI.

The natural frequency of the fiber glass isolators are essentially constant for the operating load of the supported equipment.

It has a top load distribution plate, made of galvanized steel sheet, bonded to the fiber glass pad and a bottom support with holes for fixing the supporting structure, also made of galvanized steel sheet. In the center, vertically, has an union screw for the elements of the isolators and mount of the supported equipment. A neoprene washer separates the metal to metal contact between the central screw and the bottom of the isolator.
